He helped his Bruins to the rounds of the Division during the 2016 season. Subsequently, he was given a wildcard entry into the US Open 2013 qualifying.

McDonald won the USA F12 Stocks doubles event with Lloyd Glasspool, his fifth career Futures doubles, in 2017.
