Mark Ingram II is an American former professional football player and businessperson who played 12 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). In the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft, he was drafted by the New Orleans Saints and he earned 2 Pro Bowl selections with the team as well as became its all-time leader in rushing yardage. He was also a part of the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans. He retired from the game in 2023 and subsequently joined Fox Sports’ Big Noon Kickoff show as an analyst starting in the 2023 college football season.

As a senior, he was Saginaw Valley MVP, Area Player of the Year, and an All-State selection.

During his time at Flint Southwestern Academy, Mark Ingram II also ran track and field and was a 9-time All-State selection. He also competed as a sprinter (PR of 10.69 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 21.90 seconds in the 200-meter dash) and long jumper (top leap of 7.25 meters).

Rivals.com considered him a 4-star recruit and he was ranked at #17 in the list of top high school athletes in the nation in 2008.

While at the University of Alabama, he played for coach Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide football team from 2008 to 2010.

With the New Orleans Saints, Mark Ingram II scored his first career touchdown on a 14-yard run in a preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers on August 12, 2011.

Mark Ingram II signed a 3-year, $15 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens on March 13, 2019, and made his debut with the team in Week 1 of the 2019 season against the Miami Dolphins.

His fellow players ranked him 44th on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2020.

He signed a one-year contract with the Houston Texans for $2.5 million on March 24, 2021, including a $500,000 signing bonus.

In exchange for a 2024 seventh-round pick, Mark Ingram II was traded back to the New Orleans Saints on October 29, 2021. He went on to finish the 2021 season with 160 carries for 554 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns to go along with 27 receptions for 162 receiving yards.
