NRL player manager George Mimis drops appeal for ban in relation to Melbourne Storm salary cap rorts

GEORGE Mimis has dropped his fight against the six-month ban imposed against him by the Rugby League Accredited Players Agent Scheme.

Mimis, who heads the SFX Group, was suspended in April along with David Riolo and Isaac Moses of the Titan Management Group in relation to Melbourne Storm salary-cap rort that was uncovered in 2010.

Billy Slater, Brett Stewart, Anthony Watmough, Justin Hodges and Darius Boyd are all managed by Mimis, who commenced arbitration proceedings on May 21.

However, a statement issued by the RLAPAS on Friday confirmed Mimis has abandoned his challenge to the decision.

Subsequently, he remains suspended until October 31.
